George Soros funds undisclosed Texas institution to support Democrats, documents reveal.
A New Political Action Committee in Texas Funded by George Soros
A new political action committee in Texas is making waves as it receives funding from the hard-left billionaire George Soros. Texas Majority PAC, described as a “mysterious Texas entity working to build up progressive infrastructure” by Fox News, has received $750,000 from Soros-backed Democracy PAC in the first half of this year.
The PAC, which raised a total of $752,040 during that period, seems to rely heavily on Soros for its financial support, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The website mobilize.us reveals that Texas Majority PAC aims to grow the Democratic majority and win statewide elections, with a focus on turning Texas blue.
The group’s website states that its mission is to elect a Democrat to statewide office in Texas and that it is conducting research to understand what it will take to achieve this goal. Fox News reported that the PAC was incorporated in December and job postings describe it as a research and development institution dedicated to flipping Texas blue by building year-round Democratic infrastructure in key regions of the state.
Despite the uphill battle of turning Texas blue, as noted by The Texas Tribune following the 2022 election results, Soros remains committed to supporting Democratic candidates in the state. Last year, he invested $1 million in Democrat Beto O’Rourke’s unsuccessful campaign against Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, according to The Hill.
George Soros thinks he can buy Texas.

As the battle for Texas continues, it remains to be seen how much influence Soros and the Texas Majority PAC will have in shaping the state’s political landscape.
