Portland hospital refuses cancer treatment to woman who criticized transgender flag outside facility: Report

A Shocking Incident: Woman Denied Cancer Treatment for Criticizing Transgender Flag

A recent report on social media has brought to light ⁤a distressing incident that occurred at a hospital in Portland, Oregon. According to the website RedState and‌ the Twitter account Libs of TikTok, a patient named Marlene⁤ was denied cancer treatment at the Oregon ‍Health and Science University (OHSU) ‌clinic.

Marlene expressed her concerns about the clinic’s public display of a transgender flag, which she found offensive. In ‌response, she was told to undergo ⁢”re-education,” a request she refused to comply with.

While the authenticity and timing of the⁤ messages‌ posted by Libs of TikTok are yet to be confirmed, they have sparked outrage⁢ and concern. Marlene’s message highlighted her ⁣belief in the reality of “sexed bodies” and her discomfort with the transgender flag ‍overshadowing other‍ symbols.

Marlene expressed her distress, stating, “Women are being ⁢told, once again, what we are and what we may be, is to be defined by men who have some preferences⁣ they’d like enforced, which include bepenised men claiming every female⁢ right to privacy and protection from male ⁢pattern sexual violence.”

Another message, allegedly from the hospital system, stated that Marlene would be discharged from receiving medical care at the Richmond Family Medical Clinic in Portland. The⁣ message cited ongoing disrespectful‌ remarks about the LGBTQ community and staff as the reason⁤ for this‌ action.

Chaya Raichik, the operator of Libs of TikTok, shared that Marlene is seeking assistance⁤ in ⁣exploring legal actions against the hospital.

The incident has caught the attention of a watchdog group ‍called the New Tolerance Campaign (NTC), which⁤ is demanding answers. They emphasize‌ the dangerous consequences of cancel culture, stating,⁤ “We ⁣know cancel culture can cost people their jobs. Now, it can cost you ⁢your life.”

Gregory T. ‌Angelo, president of the NTC, expressed ⁤concern about the reported incident, calling it a form‍ of “medical tyranny.” He believes that if people can be⁢ denied medical care ‍based on their views, it signifies a dark era of⁢ cancel culture with⁢ deadly ‍consequences.

While the OHSU system declined to‌ comment on the specific case, they affirmed their commitment to providing discrimination-free medical care to⁣ all patients.

This incident⁢ serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting ‌diverse perspectives and ensuring that ‍medical care remains accessible to all, regardless of ⁢differing opinions.
