In a recent interview with host Gloria Velez on pop culture site VladTV, 43-year-old singer Ne-Yo expressed his concerns about parents who allow their children to undergo gender reassignment surgery. He questioned when it became a good idea to let children make such life-changing decisions for themselves.
Ne-Yo believes that parents have forgotten what it means to be a parent. He compared allowing a child to eat candy all day to allowing them to make decisions about their gender, emphasizing that children are just children and need guidance.
The singer also discussed the alarming law in California that allows children to be removed from their homes if their parents do not affirm their gender identity. He expressed his disbelief at such a policy, stating that it makes no sense.
Ne-Yo highlighted the impressionable nature of children, mentioning how they believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny when they are young. He urged parents to remember who they are dealing with and to consider the long-term consequences of allowing children to make such decisions.
As a proud father of seven children, Ne-Yo emphasized the importance of being a parent above all else. He shared his love and dedication to his children, stating that they are his reason for everything he does.
