Tyson Foods Inc. to Close Four Chicken-Processing Plants by 2024
Tyson Foods Inc. has recently announced its decision to close four of its plants-in-cost-lowering-efforts-amid-revenue-losses/” title=”Tyson Foods closes four chicken plants to cut costs due to revenue losses.”>chicken-processing plants across the United States by 2024. This announcement was made during the company’s third quarter of 2023 on Aug. 7.
The plants that will be closed are located in North Little Rock, Arkansas; Corydon, Indiana; and the Missouri towns of Dexter and Noel. Tyson Foods Inc. stated that the reason behind this decision is to lower costs.
As part of their plan, Tyson Foods Inc. intends to relocate production from these facilities to other newer facilities that are closer to its customers.
