The U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan Sets Hearing Date for Jan. 6 Indictment Charges
The highly anticipated hearing for the Jan. 6 indictment charges filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith against former president Donald Trump is set to take place at 10:00 a.m. on August 11, 2023. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing the case, has ordered both parties to attend the protective order proposal hearing.
Judge Chutkan’s Call for Agreement
Prior to setting the hearing date, Judge Chutkan had urged the prosecutor and the defendant to come to a mutual agreement on a suitable date and time. The deadline for reaching this agreement was set for August 11.
