Utah man making online threats against Biden and Obama fatally shot by FBI.
FBI Agents Fatally Shoot Man During Raid
FBI agents carried out an early morning raid in Provo, Utah, where they were executing warrants. The operation took a tragic turn when the agents were forced to shoot and kill a man. The incident occurred as the agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants on an individual who had allegedly made threats against President Joe Biden, as well as other prominent figures.
Threats Against Biden and Others
The man, identified as Craig Deleeuw Robertson, had reportedly posted disturbing threats on social media. In one post, he mentioned President Biden’s upcoming visit to Utah and hinted at violence, stating, “Digging out my old Ghille suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 Sniper rifle.” His Facebook page was filled with similar alarming messages, including a call for Utahans to “SHOOT THEIR GUNS IN THE AIR TO SALUTE THE BUFFOON-IN-CHIEF!!!”
Additionally, Robertson targeted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, referring to him as a “political hack.” Charging documents revealed that he had detailed a plot to ambush Bragg in a parking garage, expressing his intention to use a suppressed Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm to carry out the attack. The documents quoted Robertson as saying, “I want to stand over Bragg and put a nice hole in his forehead with my 9mm and watch him twitch as a drop of blood oozes from the hole as his life ebbs away to hell!”
Gunfight Ends in Tragedy
When the FBI agents arrived at Robertson’s residence to execute the warrants, he engaged them in a gunfight. Tragically, the confrontation resulted in the agents fatally shooting him. The FBI has stated that they take all shooting incidents involving their agents seriously and that the matter is currently under review by their Inspection Division.
