According to the charging documents, the⁤ suspect, Craig Deleeuw Robertson, was investigated for ‌allegedly making threats against politicians and public figures,‍ including Biden⁤ and Bragg.

Investigators ⁢allege that Robertson had made a threat to assassinate the⁢ president and vice president in 2022.

“The time is right for a presidential assassination or two. First Joe then Kamala!!!” authorities say Robertson wrote in a⁣ September 2022 ‌Facebook⁣ post.

They say that he also⁤ referenced Biden’s trip to Utah saying that he needed to prepare ⁤his camouflage and sniper rifle.

“I hear Biden is‍ coming⁢ to‍ Utah. Digging out my hold Ghillie suit⁢ and cleaning ⁤the dust off the M24 sniper rifle,” Robertson allegedly wrote on his social media.

According to the⁢ charging documents, Robertson ⁢had also allegedly linked ⁣Bragg to ‍George Soros,‌ calling him‌ a “political hack”‍ and ⁣plotted to assassinate him in a parking garage.

On Tuesday, Robertson was charged under seal with three felony counts, which included threats against the president according to court documents.

The FBI raided Robertson’s home early on Wednesday morning, the same day that the president was due to arrive in the ⁣city for a series of speeches and⁣ visits. The FBI said that agents had attempted to⁢ serve arrest and search warrants. However, the ‌agents ended up shooting and killing Robertson on his front porch around 6:15 ⁤A.M.⁤ local time.

No further ⁣details were given about the shooting, which is‍ currently under review by the FBI.

Meanwhile, President Biden ‍is currently on a trip to the Western United States. On Wednesday ⁢he visited New Mexico, where gave a speech at a factory that will⁣ be producing wind towers, ‌and he is scheduled to fly to Utah⁢ later during the day.

This is a developing story.
