Biden criticizes Boebert’s vote against Inflation Reduction Act, despite district benefits.

President Biden Calls Out Rep. Boebert for Voting Against Inflation Reduction Act

President Joe Biden ⁤made a bold statement during his ⁤speech in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he⁣ showcased the Inflation Reduction Act and took a direct jab at ⁣Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for voting against the⁢ bill.⁤ This legislation has been instrumental in⁤ providing multiple energy initiatives and ‍has led to significant job⁣ growth in wind manufacturing, even in Boebert’s own district.

“Like in⁣ Colorado, where CS Wind broke ground on what will be the‍ world’s⁤ largest wind tower manufacturing plant. And ‌coincidentally,⁤ CS Wind is Congresswoman Lauren Boebert—you know, the very quiet Republican lady—it’s ⁢in her district,” Biden said, teasing the House Freedom Caucus member.

It’s⁢ worth⁢ noting that every single⁤ Republican in Congress voted⁣ against the‌ Inflation Reduction Act, which is a policy that⁢ has‍ invested‍ billions of dollars in renewable energy. Biden ⁣didn’t hold back in mocking other GOP members who⁣ are now proudly touting projects in their states that have stemmed from this very act.

“Who, along with every other Republican, voted against this bill, and it’s making all this possible. ‌And she‌ railed against its passage,” Biden said. “But that’s OK. She’s welcoming it now.”

One⁣ of the remarkable outcomes of the Inflation Reduction Act is the establishment of CS Wind, ‍the world’s largest manufacturing plant for wind turbine towers.‍ This ⁣plant will⁣ become one of the largest employers in Pueblo, Colorado, and is expected ⁣to bring 850 new jobs ⁤by 2028.

Biden didn’t stop at Boebert; he also targeted other Republican lawmakers who voted ⁤against this policy that has‍ brought clean energy investments to their ‌districts. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) was among those ‌mentioned, and Biden couldn’t help‍ but express his amusement at ⁣the irony.

“I thought, wait‍ a minute, didn’t ‌he rail against that for a ⁣long, long time? I was inclined to ‌go down and help him celebrate, but ⁣I decided not to,” ‌Biden remarked.

President Biden’s speech not only highlighted the success of the Inflation Reduction Act but ⁣also served as a reminder that‍ actions speak ⁣louder than words. It’s ‌clear that despite initial opposition, the positive impact of‌ this‌ legislation ‍cannot be denied.
