Lady Gaga’s dad angry as unruly immigrants dominate his area: ‘Just enabling them’
Liberal Pop Star Lady Gaga’s Father Speaks Out Against New York City’s Response to Illegal Immigrant Crisis
Joe Germanotta, the father of pop star Lady Gaga, is deeply disturbed by the City of New York’s handling of the growing illegal immigrant crisis. What makes it even more frustrating for him is that his own neighborhood is bearing the brunt of the consequences.
Germanotta, who has been a restaurant owner in the Upper West Side since 2012, has now taken on the role of a community leader. He is determined to urge city hall to address the dangerous conditions that have emerged in his once-peaceful neighborhood. The city’s decision to house hundreds of illegal aliens in a former residence hall for music, art, and drama students has had a detrimental impact on the area, as reported by the New York Post.
Germanotta describes how the neighborhood has become more dangerous, with young illegal immigrants engaging in late-night revelry, substance abuse, and reckless behavior on unregistered motor scooters and e-bikes. The area is now plagued by littering, loitering, open prostitution, and discarded hypodermic needles.
A few months ago, the city secretly contracted with the American Musical and Dramatic Academy to relocate 500 illegal immigrants to the Stratford Arms Hotel, without informing the neighborhood. This covert operation led to the chaos that Germanotta and his community are now experiencing.
“There’s now 500 migrants living in that dormitory. That’s when all the mayhem began,” Germanotta told the Post.
Germanotta and a group of fellow business and building owners have formed the West 70th Street Association to voice their concerns to New York City Hall. They are particularly worried about the safety of girls and women in the area, as gangs of unemployed young men harass them on the streets.
Germanotta emphasizes that he is not against having migrants in his neighborhood, but he insists that the situation needs to be managed properly. He suggests implementing adequate security measures, increasing police presence, and establishing a code of conduct for the migrants.
Despite Germanotta and his association members reporting the problems caused by the illegal immigrants, the city has failed to provide effective solutions. Germanotta also criticizes AMDA, the company that owns the building being rented out to house the illegals, accusing them of profiting at the expense of the neighborhood.
Germanotta concludes by expressing his concern for the veterans and homeless individuals in the area who are not receiving the same level of support as the illegal immigrants. He believes that the city should have suspended its “sanctuary city” status until sufficient housing was available.
“The really sad part is that in the neighborhood, we still have our share of veterans and homeless — but we’re not taking care of our own. They don’t get food every day. It’s really sad. I feel for them,” Germanotta concluded.
This situation highlights the flaws in “sanctuary” policies. When faced with a large influx of illegal immigrants, the city was unable to accommodate them properly. It is becoming evident that these policies are not effective in practice.
It is not just New York that is grappling with this dangerous wave of illegal immigration. The entire nation is facing the consequences, including the spread of disease, sexual abuse, and increased crime rates. This is a direct result of President Joe Biden’s open-door policy, which signaled that anyone could enter the country without consequences.
It is crucial to remember that without secure borders, we cannot maintain the integrity of our nation.
