About Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A is a contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus. It can spread through close personal contact or by consuming contaminated food or water.
Common symptoms of acute hepatitis A in adults include fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark colored urine, and jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). The severity of symptoms can vary.
While timely vaccination can help prevent infection, it is important to note that vaccination may not be effective if administered too late.
