Woman in viral preflight meltdown video speaks out.
The Woman Behind the Viral Meltdown on American Airlines Flight Breaks Her Silence
The woman who became an internet sensation for her emotional outburst on an American Airlines flight has finally spoken out. Tiffany Gomas, 38, was captured on camera tearfully leaving a plane from Dallas to Orlando, pausing in the aisle to explain her decision: “I’m telling you, I’m getting the f*** off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f*** off, and everyone can either believe it, or they cannot believe it. That motherf***** back there is not real.”
Taking Accountability and Reflecting on Her Actions
In a heartfelt video, Gomas expressed her remorse and took full responsibility for her behavior. “First and foremost, I want to take full accountability for my actions,” she said. “They were completely unacceptable. Distressed or not, I should have been in control of my emotions. And that was not the case.”
Gomas acknowledged that her viral moment had spawned numerous memes, admitting that she had seen and even enjoyed many of them. However, she apologized for her “completely unnecessary” use of profanity, recognizing that her “bad moment” had been captured on camera for the world to see.
Aiming to Make a Positive Impact
Looking forward, Gomas expressed her hope to turn this experience into something positive. “I hope that I can use this experience and do a little bit of good in the world, and that is what I intend to do,” she shared. “I hope that you guys can accept my apology and I can begin to move on with my life.”
At the end of her video, Gomas invited viewers to join her on a journey of promoting positive mental health and standing up against cyberbullying. She included a link to her website, which currently only features the response video.
This video marked Gomas’ first post on X, formerly known as Twitter, and she has already gained nearly 50,000 followers.
