Biden Silent on Deadliest Wildfire in U.S. History After Beach Trip
Joe Biden’s Lack of Compassion in the Face of Tragedy
Joe Biden, often praised by the Left for his decency and compassion, was enjoying a day at the beach in Delaware when confronted with the devastating tragedy unfolding in Maui. The deadliest wildfire in the last century had claimed the lives of at least 96 people and caused immense damage, estimated to be around $6 billion, according to Democrat Hawaii Governor Josh Green.
As he left the beach, reporters asked President Biden about the rising death toll in Hawaii. His response? “No comment.”

This is the same man who, while running for president, tweeted about the importance of empathy and compassion. In February 2020, Biden wrote, “Empathy matters. Compassion matters. We have to reach out to one another and heal this country — and that’s what I’ll do as president.”

In that same tweet, Biden emphasized the importance of truly understanding someone’s pain and offering support. He said, “When you have a real problem and it’s devastating to you and someone comes up and says, ‘I know how you feel,’ but someone comes up to you and says, ‘I’ve been through this. I can tell you I know how you feel,’ you immediately say, ‘Tell me,’ because all people are looking for is to say, ‘You made it.’ You look at them and you say intuitively, ‘I guess there’s a way through. I guess I can make this; I guess I can make it.'”
However, Biden’s actions have not aligned with his words. In April of this year, he proudly spoke about his love for his six grandchildren and how he speaks to them every single day. Yet, when his seventh grandchild, four-year-old Navy Joan Roberts, came into the picture, Biden remained silent and refused to publicly acknowledge her existence. This prompted social media to criticize his lack of empathy and decency.
“You can just feel the empathy and decency oozing,” remarked The Spectator’s Stephen Miller sarcastically, highlighting the Left’s constant portrayal of Biden as empathetic. The Washington Free Beacon’s Joe Gabriel Simonson also raised concerns about Biden’s capacity for human kindness and paternal love.
The Maui fires, which have claimed the lives of at least 96 people, now stand as the deadliest fire in U.S. history since the 2018 Camp Fire in California, which killed 85 people.
