A Fullerton Man Pleads Guilty in Gang-Related Shooting
A Fullerton man has pleaded guilty on Aug. 14 in connection with a gang-related shooting in Anaheim that occurred three years ago. The incident resulted in the death of one man and the injury of another.
Dominick Sanchez, 29, has pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 29 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
Co-defendant Jacob Antunez, 26, also pleaded guilty on July 14 to a felony count of discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling. His sentencing is set for Sept. 8 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.

Charges and Suspects
Jacob Nolasco, 29, is facing multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder, discharge of a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, and participating in gang activity. These charges are all felonies. Nolasco also faces sentencing enhancements for gang activity and discharge of a gun causing great bodily injury or death.
The Anaheim police reported that the three defendants were accused of killing 28-year-old Edwin Richard Ramirez-Hernandez and injuring another man, whose identity has not been disclosed.
The Shooting Incident
The shooting took place on Aug. 15, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m. The incident occurred at the intersection of Citron Street and Bellevue Drive in Anaheim. Edwin Richard Ramirez-Hernandez, an Anaheim resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was hospitalized but survived.
According to the police, the detectives suspect that the defendants targeted the victims based on their belief that they were rival gang members. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the victims had any gang affiliations.
