A Texas Congressman Detained and Handcuffed at Rodeo: Bodycam Footage Revealed
A shocking incident involving Rep. Ronny Jackson, a Texas congressman, has come to light after the release of police body camera footage. The altercation took place last month at the White Deer Rodeo near Amarillo, where Jackson was placed face down and handcuffed.
Jackson, a former White House physician during the Obama and Trump administrations, was attempting to provide care to a young woman who had a medical emergency during the event, as reported by the Texas Tribune.
In the footage, Jackson can be heard interacting with law enforcement, expressing his frustration with their actions using profane language.
WARNING: The following videos contains vulgar language that some viewers may find offensive.
“You are a f****** full-on d***!” Jackson asserts to one state trooper.
“You better recalculate, m***********.”
After Jackson was removed from the immediate scene by troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety, EMS providers administered aid to the injured woman, as reported by Western Journal.
In one portion of the recording, Jackson, wearing a red shirt, is seen handcuffed and on the ground.
Jackson’s Response and Apology
Jackson took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the release of the body camera footage. He criticized Carson County law enforcement, stating, “We have the best Sheriffs in the country here in the panhandle and north Texas. Unfortunately, the Sheriff in Carson County is not among them.”
I’m glad the video is out. It shows the incompetence of the authorities and their complete disregard for the young girl in distress. We have the best Sheriffs in the country here in the panhandle and north Texas. Unfortunately, the Sheriff in Carson County is not among them.

Jackson later apologized for his use of profanity in a subsequent tweet but defended his actions as necessary to provide medical care in what he described as a life-threatening situation.
I will apologize for my language, but I will not apologize for getting upset & speaking my mind considering the circumstances. If I had to do it again, I would still step up & act in a life-threatening situation. I will ALWAYS help someone in need. I WILL NOT apologize for that.
