“A lot to be grateful for on this birthday and [I’m] glad to be alive,” Roker expressed. “Thank you and take care. Have a great Sunday!”
Earlier this year, Roker returned to the morning show on January 6 after being hospitalized multiple times for blood clots. He described his journey as a “tough slog” and acknowledged the challenges he faced during his recovery.
The weatherman admitted that his four-week hospital stay had taken a toll on his body, causing muscle weakness. He shared that he was undergoing physical therapy and occupational therapy to regain his strength.
On Thanksgiving, Roker shared photos on Instagram celebrating his release from the hospital after his health scare. However, he experienced a setback and was rushed back to the hospital via ambulance on November 25. The “Today” show confirmed his return to the hospital due to complications.
Despite the challenges, Roker remains grateful for each day and appreciates the support and well wishes he has received from his fans and colleagues.
