President Biden Launches $25 Million ‍Ad Campaign⁣ in Key⁤ Battleground States

President‍ Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is making an early push in the⁤ 2024 ⁤election cycle by launching a ‌$25 million series of ads targeted at seven critical battleground​ states.

According to the campaign’s Aug. 20 press release, this ad buy represents the earliest investment in⁣ Hispanic and African ⁢American media in history.

The announcement⁤ comes just before the Republican‌ National Convention’s first round of primary debates, scheduled for Aug. 23.⁤ It marks ‌the third major ad buy since⁤ President Biden declared ‌his candidacy for a ⁣second ​term.

The campaign aims to maximize voter reach over a ‌16-week period through various media outlets and markets.

Television ‍advertisements will target ​major‍ markets in Arizona, Michigan, Georgia,‌ Nevada, North⁣ Carolina, Pennsylvania, and⁤ Wisconsin. ​Additionally,‌ there will be specific commercials for the Hispanic population in ⁢Florida.

The ad campaign will ​air ‌on​ both broadcast and cable television networks, taking advantage of high-reach​ placements such⁣ as NFL⁤ Kickoff ‍and​ the World Series.

Digital advertising will include premium spots on ⁤platforms‌ like ‍YouTube Reserve, ⁤Hulu, and Connected TV. ⁣Short-form video programs on Instagram ⁣and YouTube Shorts will also feature the ads.

“As Republicans head to the debate stage next ⁤week⁣ to put on display⁣ their extreme and out-of-touch positions, we are investing in reaching Americans across the country with President Biden ⁣and Vice President Harris’ message for the middle class and ⁤for ‌Americans’ ‍fundamental freedoms,” said‌ President​ Biden’s campaign ⁢manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez.

“This​ historic ⁣buy ensures that the president’s message reaches ​all Americans where they receive⁤ their news,​ and sends​ a clear sign that we are investing in an aggressive, meaningful,⁢ and ⁤effective paid media ⁣strategy.

“While Republicans duke it ⁣out in Milwaukee over their divisive and unpopular agenda, President Biden is ⁢amplifying his winning message and leadership as‍ a​ president‍ for all Americans.”

Biden ‌Fundraising

As of ⁣July 14,⁤ President Biden ⁤and the Democratic National Committee ‍had⁢ raised over $72 million in the 10 weeks following his reelection announcement.

This includes contributions to his campaign ‌and joint fundraising arrangements with national and state parties. The⁤ funds were raised between April 25, when ‍Biden made his ‌announcement, and the end of June.

In comparison, President⁤ Barack Obama ​raised $85.6 million during the⁣ April-to-June quarter of 2011⁤ when​ he launched‌ his campaign for a‌ second term.

In the second quarter of‍ 2019, President Donald ‌Trump⁤ and the Republican National Committee raised a combined ⁤$105⁢ million.

President Biden, ‌First Lady Jill Biden,⁣ Vice President Kamala​ Harris, and First Gentleman Doug Emhoff all increased their fundraising efforts in the final weeks of the quarter, bringing the total number of fundraisers‍ to 38.

Ninety-seven percent of donations​ were less than $200, and more than 30 percent of donors had not contributed to President Biden⁤ in 2020, according to the campaign, which ⁢has ‍an email‍ list of nearly 25 million ‍subscribers.

Trump’s ‍Fundraising

The campaign of President Trump announced on July 5 that he raised over $35 million for his White House bid⁢ in the⁤ second ⁣quarter.
