New Wisconsin ad released by Biden campaign before GOP’s Milwaukee debate.
President Biden’s 2024 Reelection Campaign Releases New Ad in Wisconsin
The excitement is building in Wisconsin as President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign launches a captivating new ad just one day before the highly anticipated Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee.
Wisconsin holds immense significance in determining the outcome of the 2024 general election, just as it did in 2020. President Biden himself recently visited Milwaukee to showcase his climate and economic platform, while Vice President Kamala Harris has been actively engaging with voters in the state through various campaign events.
Spotlighting Biden’s Economic Legislation
The ad, part of a $25 million campaign targeting black and Hispanic voters in battleground states, features Kilah Engelke, a cement mason, sharing her personal experience of how President Biden’s economic legislation is improving the lives of working families like hers by increasing wages.
Michael Tyler, the Biden campaign’s communications director, expressed enthusiasm about the ad, stating, “As MAGA Republicans head to the debate stage in Milwaukee this Wednesday to highlight just how out of touch their views are with the American people, President Biden’s campaign is excited to spotlight how his administration is bringing back manufacturing and creating good-paying jobs for Wisconsinites from the perspective of a Wisconsinite herself. Building on the strong work that we have done already to strengthen Wisconsin Democrats, we will continue to compete and invest aggressively in the state.”
Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Biden’s campaign manager, emphasized that the battleground ad campaign aims to contrast the “extreme and out-of-touch positions” held by Republicans, which will be on full display during Wednesday’s debate in Milwaukee, marking the first GOP debate of the 2024 election cycle.
However, former President Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, surprised many by announcing that he would be skipping the Milwaukee debate, despite previous speculation suggesting his participation.
In a recent statement on Truth Social, Trump highlighted his strong support, stating, “New CBS POLL, just out, has me leading the field by ‘legendary’ numbers. TRUMP 62%, 46 Points above DeSanctimonious (who is crashing like an ailing bird!), Ramaswamy 7%, Pence 5%, Scott 3%, Haley 2%, Sloppy Chris Christie 2%, ‘Aida’ Hutchinson 1%. The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”
It’s worth noting that Trump narrowly lost Wisconsin to Biden in 2020 by less than 1 percentage point, and he secured the state over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by a similar margin in 2016.
