GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy made a bold statement on⁣ Monday, asserting that the U.S. government has‍ deceived the American people with its ‌official narrative⁤ of​ the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.⁢ Ramaswamy passionately argued that Americans “deserve‌ the truth” about this pivotal event in history.

In a recent interview with CNN, Ramaswamy clarified that he was misquoted by The⁤ Atlantic ‍ and was actually referring to the‌ January ⁤6, 2021, Capitol breach when he‍ mentioned the involvement of federal agents. He firmly denied any belief ‌in an inside job ‌but maintained that Saudi Arabia played a role in the attacks, which⁣ the U.S. government covered up.

The article quoted ​Ramaswamy as⁣ questioning the presence of police and federal⁤ agents on⁢ the planes that‌ hit the Twin‌ Towers. Ramaswamy clarified that he believes it’s essential for⁢ the public ⁢to know the truth ​about these details, just as they⁣ should know the truth about the events of January 6.

After‍ Ramaswamy ⁢claimed he was misquoted, The Atlantic released ‌ the interview audio, which seemed ‌to confirm the accuracy of the original quote. However, ‌Ramaswamy’s spokesperson argued⁢ that the quote was taken out of context and urged The‌ Atlantic to ⁢release​ more of the recording for​ a complete understanding of the conversation.
