California mom shares story of supporting her daughter while school hides her transgender identity.

California Schools Hiding‌ Students’ Transgender Status from Parents, Says ⁤Attorney and Parent Advocate

According to attorney and parent advocate ‍Erin Friday, California schools ⁢are keeping students’ transgender status a secret from parents. In a recent interview on‍ EpochTV’s California Insider, Ms. Friday shared‍ her own experience⁣ with this‍ issue.

Ms. Friday recounted her daughter’s journey with ‌gender confusion, which began when she was introduced to LGBT ‌gender ideology during a seventh-grade sex education lesson. “She and all of her friends picked an identity ‌on the LGBT label. ⁤None of them picked ‘straight’ because that was boring,” Ms. Friday revealed.

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated her daughter’s struggles, leading her to spend more time online. “She started‍ to get indoctrinated⁣ into this ⁢belief system that ‍all your stress, all⁣ your depression, all⁤ your anxiety, will disappear ⁢if you just transition,” Ms. Friday explained.

It wasn’t⁤ until ⁣ninth grade, during the pandemic, that Ms. Friday discovered her daughter had identified as‍ transgender. ⁤The school had changed her⁤ name‌ and pronouns on her email‌ and‍ assignments without involving the parents. “I was angry. How‍ dare they change ⁤my daughter’s name. How dare they not⁣ involve‍ me,” Ms. Friday expressed her ⁢frustration.

Ms.‌ Friday sought help from ‍a therapist‌ out of state to understand her child’s identity⁤ struggles. After a little over a year, her daughter stopped identifying as transgender. “It‌ was so painful‍ to watch my daughter die by a thousand cuts ⁣with everyone cheering her on,” Ms. Friday shared.

This story is not unique, according to Ms. ‍Friday. She believes it is a result of the LGBT community’s push to introduce gender ideology⁤ into schools‍ over ‌the past five years. Children⁤ are⁢ now‍ being asked about their pronouns and ‌preferred names almost daily, which Ms. Friday⁢ believes ‌contributes to confusion.

When a child‍ expresses a desire to‍ go by a different name or gender, schools ‍instruct teachers to keep it a secret from parents, citing California Education Department guidance. However, Ms. ⁣Friday‌ argues that this guidance is not law. “That’s actually not true, that’s not what the law says, but that’s what ⁤teachers are doing because that’s⁣ what they’re told the law ‌says,” she stated.

It is clear that the issue of hiding ‍students’ transgender status from ‍parents⁤ in California ‌schools ‍is ⁤a complex and ⁤controversial one. The debate surrounding ‍gender ideology and parental rights continues to unfold.
