Trump believes Epstein’s death was either a suicide or a possible murder.
Former President Donald Trump on Jeffrey Epstein’s Death
In a recent interview with TV host Tucker Carlson, former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the controversial death of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. While Trump believes that Epstein likely took his own life, he also acknowledges the possibility that the billionaire was murdered.
During the interview, which aired on Aug. 23 on X, Carlson raised questions about Epstein’s untimely demise. Epstein, a financier with connections to influential individuals worldwide, was arrested in July 2019 on charges related to operating a child sex-trafficking ring. The extent of his crimes remains unknown, but estimates suggest that he trafficked dozens to over a hundred young girls.
The Controversy Surrounding Epstein’s Death
Due to Epstein’s connections, many speculate that he could have possessed damaging information about numerous American actors, politicians, and other influential figures worldwide.
Just a month after his arrest, Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell, reportedly by suicide. However, given his high-level connections, doubts have been cast on the official narrative.
During the interview, Carlson and Trump discussed former Attorney General Bill Barr, who has been at odds with the former president since leaving office. This conversation led to the topic of Epstein’s death.
“Barr lies [in his book] about Jeffrey Epstein,” Carlson said, referring to a claim that an investigation was conducted. However, the details of this investigation have not been made public.
“Do you think Epstein killed himself?” Carlson asked Trump.
“I don’t know,” Trump replied. “I will say, he was a fixture in Palm Beach. I don’t know what Barr said about it. What did he say? He killed himself, probably?”
“He said [Epstein] killed himself; he said they were gonna do this investigation. They never did the investigation, it’s never been public, and they hid it. Why are they doing that? Why would Bill Barr be covering up the death of Jeffrey Epstein?” Carlson questioned.
“Bill Barr didn’t do an investigation on the election fraud either,” Trump responded. “I don’t know what he did with Epstein, but possibly.”
“Do you think it’s possible that Epstein was killed?” Carlson inquired.
“Oh sure, it’s possible,” Trump replied. ”I mean, I don’t really believe it. I think he probably committed suicide. He had a life with beautiful homes and everything, and all of a sudden, he’s incarcerated and not doing very well. I would say that he did [commit suicide].
“But there are those people, there are many people … [that] think that he was killed.
“He knew a lot on a lot of people,” Trump added.
Despite believing that Epstein likely took his own life, Trump criticized Barr’s handling of the investigation, stating that it was poorly executed.
“They didn’t have cameras, they had no anything. Everybody was sleeping, and you know a case could be made,” Trump said.
The circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, considering the potential implications for numerous powerful individuals, immediately raised suspicions.
Official reports claim that Epstein managed to commit suicide despite being under 24-hour suicide watch following a previous attempt. The guard outside his cell…
