Trump Co-Defendant Harrison Floyd Denied Bond in Georgia Racketeering Case
One of the co-defendants in the Georgia racketeering case, Harrison Floyd, has been denied bond by Judge Emily Richardson. This decision comes as a blow to Floyd, who is facing charges of assaulting an FBI agent and attempting to influence a witness in the federal investigation into alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Judge Richardson expressed concerns about Floyd’s potential to commit further crimes or flee if released. “There are grounds for bond to be denied at this point,” she stated. “I’m going to go ahead and find that you are a risk to commit additional felonies and a potential risk to flee the jurisdiction.”
Judge Scott McAfee, who will be presiding over the case, will address the issue of bond in its entirety. Floyd was informed of this during his first virtual court appearance, where he appeared in a prison uniform. Despite expressing his inability to afford a personal attorney, Floyd did not meet the eligibility requirements for a public defender. He also claimed that he had not been read his Miranda rights.
Floyd is facing charges of violating Georgia’s anti-racketeering law, influencing a witness, and conspiring to solicit false statements. These charges stem from an incident in which prosecutors allege that Floyd attempted to pressure an Atlanta election worker into admitting to mass voter fraud.
As of Friday night, a legal defense fund for Floyd had raised over $46,000.
