Oliver Anthony denies media’s attempt to portray him as a Biden supporter.

Musician Oliver Anthony Clarifies His Feelings⁢ for President Joe Biden

Musician Oliver Anthony recently addressed his stance on President Joe Biden in what‍ he⁢ referred to as his “last ⁢post about politics.” In response to ‌media coverage ⁣of his latest YouTube video, where he discussed his hit song “Rich Men North of Richmond,” Anthony felt the need to clarify his statements in a Facebook post.

“Corporate news (big surprise) is now trying to twist ⁤me into being a Biden‍ supporter,” Anthony wrote with a laughing emoji.‌ He specifically wanted‍ to address Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who ⁢suggested that removing⁤ Biden from office⁤ would solve all the problems. Anthony emphasized that while Biden is indeed part of the issue, it extends beyond him. “Rich Men North of ‌Richmond” criticizes corporate-owned politicians on both sides of the aisle. It’s not ⁤solely about ⁢Biden but rather a critique⁢ of ‌the entire system, including ⁢the corporate-owned conservative politicians⁤ who ⁤were present that night.”

Anthony, hailing from Farmville, ⁣Virginia, resides in the state’s 5th Congressional District, represented by Rep. Bob ⁣Good (R-VA) ‌since ‌2020. His personal political beliefs⁢ have been a subject of speculation, and he expressed frustration with conservative news outlets attempting to align him with their ideologies.

On the day of the debate, ‍”Rich Men North‍ of Richmond” reportedly generated a staggering $40,000 in daily revenue. Additionally, three of Anthony’s songs claimed the ‌top‍ three spots on iTunes.

Currently on tour, Anthony boasts over‌ 4.5 million⁤ monthly listeners on Spotify, a significant increase from the 40,000 he had ⁣prior to releasing his latest song.
