Tragic Accident in San Diego
SAN DIEGO—In a devastating incident on August 26, a 22-year-old woman lost her life while attempting to push a vehicle off an electrical box after a collision, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident occurred in the Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood on 1300 Euclid Ave. at around 2:30 a.m. The woman was a passenger in a 2014 Kia Forte traveling southbound when the vehicle veered off the road, drove over the sidewalk, and struck an electrical box. Both the driver, a 31-year-old woman, and the passenger got out of the car.
“In a tragic turn of events, the passenger attempted to push the vehicle off the electrical box and was electrocuted,” stated the police.
Despite immediate medical attention, the young woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, on the other hand, suffered minor electrical burns and was transported to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, her injuries are not life-threatening.
At this time, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed. The SDPD Traffic Division is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the accident.
