Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) announced his groundbreaking education and technology plan on Aug. 28, with a focus on empowering parents and safeguarding American children from the influence of Big Tech.
After participating in the GOP primary debate in Milwaukee, Scott returned to his home state of South Carolina and engaged with parents, homeschool advocates, and voters to discuss his plan, according to a press release from his campaign.

Scott’s comprehensive plan revolves around three key aspects: defending children, empowering parents, and protecting children online from the influence of Big Tech.
“Teachers’ unions, Big Tech, and Joe Biden are on a mission to make parents less important,” stated Scott. “I have a bold agenda to support and empower parents—from the classroom to the locker room to the smartphone. We must empower parents and give them a choice, so that every child has a chance.”
According to his campaign, Scott’s plan aims to “restore American childhood and let girls and boys be girls and boys, not guinea pigs.” It also seeks to preserve Title IX and women’s sports by ensuring fair competition based on biological sex. Additionally, the plan emphasizes the importance of crisis pregnancy centers and urges the Department of Justice (DOJ) to address threats and vandalism against them.
‘Replace Indoctrination With Education’
The plan also guarantees parents the right to be informed about their child’s education, allowing them to opt out of content that contradicts their values and religious liberty. It aims to break the influence of teachers’ unions and establish nationwide school choice, replacing indoctrination with true education.
The press release emphasizes the importance of prioritizing ABC (Academics, Basics, and Critical thinking) over C.R.T. (critical race theory) teachings, which have sparked controversy in recent years.
Furthermore, the plan grants parents the freedom to choose the best form of education for their child, whether it be public school, private school, charter school, STEM school, or homeschooling. It also rejects the notion of “equity” and defends honors classes against attacks from the Left.
Lastly, the plan addresses the protection of children online. It aims to prevent Big Tech companies from monopolizing children’s attention and safeguarding them from online predators. Additionally, it seeks to protect children’s privacy from China by requiring country-of-origin labeling on all apps used by children and holding Big Tech companies accountable for ensuring online safety.
Debate Stage ‘Chaos’
During an event in Lowcountry, South Carolina, Scott expressed his campaign’s focus on restoring hope, creating opportunities, and protecting the America we all love, as reported by WCIV.
Highlighting the threats posed by the Chinese communist regime, Scott emphasized the need for a president who will prioritize protecting America.
