California funds nonprofit promoting ‘foxgender’ identity, instructing schools to conceal it.

The ⁢State of California Funds Grant to Promote Bizarre Genders and Hide it from Parents

The state of California has recently awarded a nine-year grant to an organization that encourages students‍ to explore a wide range of unique genders, including unconventional identities like “foxgender.” What’s more concerning is that this group also teaches school districts how to keep this information hidden from parents.

The California Department of Public Health has allocated a total of ‍$2.3 million to ⁢a nonprofit called Gender Spectrum. Their activities involve developing strategies to incorporate ⁤gender diversity into school practices. This information was uncovered by the watchdog group OpenTheBooks.

The grant’s purpose is for Gender⁣ Spectrum to ⁢conduct a thorough evaluation of‌ the effectiveness of its programs. One of these ⁢programs includes the ⁢creation ‌of a six-page⁣ form for students ⁢to submit their preferred pronouns to school districts. It also asks whether school staff⁣ should conceal ‍the use ‌of these pronouns‍ from parents.

“It’s not always ⁤the case that caregivers are supportive of their child’s gender, their gender journey, in that case, if parents are not⁤ supportive or if the child is not out,⁢ that’s not necessarily someone who will be part of the gender support ‌team,” said Director of ⁤Training Carla Pena at the group’s annual Gender Spectrum Family Conference last year.

During the⁤ conference, Naomi Cruz, the manager of family and educational programming, delivered a⁣ presentation titled “Intro to‍ Neoidentities‌ and Neopronouns.” The presentation introduced pronouns that describe gender ⁣as a personal, aesthetic, synesthetic, or head-space oriented experience. These pronouns include⁣ “noun genders” like ⁣”foxgender,” “moongender,” and “rockgender,” as well as “emojiself pronouns” such as “:)self.”

“Our youth are becoming more and more independent regarding their self-expression. Instead of trying to ⁢fit into premade boxes, they’re using their‍ unique identities ⁣and forms of expression to create terminology to describe⁢ themselves,” the‍ presentation stated.

The presentation also emphasized that youth are on a “gender journey” and that their genders may change over time. However, ‌parents should affirm these identities unless they appropriate a racial, ethnic, religious, or disability‌ group they do⁢ not belong to. In such cases, parents are encouraged to suggest alternative terms or pronouns that hold personal⁢ meaning without appropriating closed identities and pronouns.

It remains unclear why youth do not ‍need permission from foxes before appropriating their identities.

Although Gender Spectrum aims to expand its programs nationwide, it appears that the organization⁤ has taken down its website after attracting attention.

OpenTheBooks discovered that California previously granted $1.1 million to Gender⁣ Spectrum for a pilot project between 2017 and 2022. ⁤The grant‍ was extended ⁤until⁤ 2026, with the fee doubled last year.

“As a⁤ result of our work, students who fall ⁤all along the ⁣gender spectrum⁣ will see their experience recognized and‌ affirmed in their school,” the initial grant application stated.

The grant application claimed that this approach would reduce mental illness among ‌LGBTQ children, citing that ⁤41.5% of transgender youth have⁢ seriously considered suicide. It also stated that cisgender young people would have a better understanding of gender, leading to increased comfort with their ⁤own gender expression.

When asked about evidence⁤ of the program’s effectiveness, the application admitted that they lacked the resources to measure its impact. However, initial findings from individual ‍schools showed positive results in ‌terms of knowledge, intent to use gender-inclusive practices, and recognition of the importance of becoming a gender-inclusive school.

Unfortunately, the application did not ‌mention whether ⁢students became less suicidal as a result of the program.

Gender Spectrum was previously involved in the ⁢creation of the “National Sex Education ‍Standards.” These standards suggest‍ that by second grade, students should be able to define gender identity, and by fifth grade, they should understand the role of puberty blockers, according to ⁤OpenTheBooks.

Despite ‌the higher suicide rates associated ‌with nontraditional⁤ gender identities, Kim Westheimer, an official ⁤from Gender Spectrum, expressed‌ at the 2022 conference that allowing young people to‍ explore their identities and try on new ones is a positive thing.

OpenTheBooks ‌also discovered that the organization received $297,000 in coronavirus loans from the federal government.

“How many taxpayers can tolerate paying for their children to be confronted with such ⁢controversial and confusing material?” questioned Adam ⁣Andrzejewski, the founder⁤ of OpenTheBooks, in an interview with‌ The Daily Wire.

Recently, California‍ lawmakers introduced a bill titled ‍”Instructional materials: removing instructional materials and curriculum: diversity.” This bill aims to prevent ⁢local school boards from refusing to teach radical content, including gender materials produced by California’s Democratic ‌Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife. She has earned money by creating content ⁤that is later used in the state’s schools.

In a separate incident, a Virginia mother filed a lawsuit ⁤against a school district for ‍facilitating and concealing her 14-year-old child’s gender transition. The mother alleges that this led to her child being sex-trafficked to Baltimore and held captive by a registered sex offender.
