Trump spokesperson says mugshot merchandise sales have surged.

Former President Donald Trump’s presidential‌ campaign has experienced a remarkable surge in fundraising. Since his mugshot‍ was ‌taken after‍ surrendering at an ‌Atlanta jail, the⁢ campaign has raised over $9 million. The mugshot, released on⁢ his ⁤Truth Social and X accounts, immediately captured widespread attention, with his X post receiving over‍ 1.7 million likes and 250 million views. Taking ​advantage of the mugshot’s popularity, the Trump Save America Joint Fundraising Committee has ⁢put it on various merchandise, including coffee mugs,​ T-shirts, ⁤posters, beverage coolers, ⁢and bumper stickers.

According ‍to Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for President Trump’s 2024 White House‍ bid, the campaign has raised $9.4 million since the mugshot⁣ was released. The sales of mugshot merchandise have skyrocketed, with 36,000 T-shirts,​ 24,000​ coffee mugs, and 8,600 ⁢posters sold, generating a total of ‍$1.7⁣ million, $864,000, and​ $352,000 respectively. Fox⁣ News was the first ⁣to report on ​these ‌impressive fundraising⁤ totals, with the campaign clarifying that the ⁢money will be used for campaign and political activities, not legal expenses.

President Trump⁢ currently‍ faces ⁣two federal ⁢cases and two state cases. In Fulton County,⁢ Georgia, he and 18 co-defendants were⁣ indicted on Aug. 14 for their involvement in‌ disputing the state’s ​2020 election results. President ‌Trump described his experience of being booked into ​the Fulton County ​Jail as terrible ⁤and uncomfortable. He and the other co-defendants are scheduled for⁤ arraignment ⁢before the Fulton County Superior Court on Sept. 6, with the district ⁢attorney requesting ⁣an Oct. 23 trial date for all 19 defendants.

Liz​ Harrington, spokesperson for President Trump, attributes the⁣ surge in donations ‌to the American people’s decision‌ to stand with the former president. In an interview with EpochTV’s “Crossroads” program,⁤ she ⁣stated⁢ that the American people recognize the relentless persecution he‍ has faced and rally behind him. The ‌mugshot resonated strongly with ‌the American⁢ people, ​symbolizing President Trump’s fight ‌for them ⁢and his defiance against a corrupt system.
