Pentagon unveils website for UFO investigation and research office.
The Pentagon Launches Website for UFO Research
The Pentagon has unveiled a new website dedicated to the study of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs. The website, created by the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), aims to provide the public with access to all publicly available information related to UAP.
Investigating the Unknown
The AARO, established in July 2022, is at the forefront of the U.S. government’s efforts to understand and address unidentified anomalous phenomena. Led by Sean Kirkpatrick, the office is committed to a rigorous scientific framework and a data-driven approach.
“Our team of experts is dedicated to improving data collection, standardizing reporting requirements, and ensuring the safety and security of the public,” Kirkpatrick states on the new website.
Reporting and Declassification
The website will allow current or former U.S. government employees, service members, or contractors to report their alleged UAP sightings. Additionally, it will provide information on resolved UAP cases, including videos and photos, as they are declassified and approved for public release.
Visitors to the website can also find reporting trends, a frequently-asked-questions section, and links to official reports, transcripts, press releases, and other resources.
Capitol Hill Attention
The Pentagon’s UAP activity recently gained attention on Capitol Hill when three former military officials testified about their experiences. While some lawmakers remain skeptical, the Defense Department has denied the existence of any programs related to the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials.
During a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing, Kirkpatrick revealed that AARO is currently tracking over 650 UFO cases, prioritizing those of anomalous interest.
The Pentagon’s new website serves as a hub for information and transparency, allowing the public to explore the fascinating world of UAP research.
