Country Music Star Granger Smith Leaves Music Industry for⁢ Christian ‍Ministry

Country music star Granger Smith recently announced⁤ his departure from⁣ the music industry to pursue full-time Christian ministry. In a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on his final performance, Smith shared a “keepsake” photo ⁤and clarified his reasons for the change.

“I ⁣took this⁣ pic on Saturday – a⁢ keepsake from my‍ last show as a touring musician,” Smith wrote. ⁢”It’s been such ⁢a privilege to claim that job title for so many years!”

He explained that his‍ decision ‌is‌ inspired by the‍ biblical parable found‍ in Matthew 13:44, which compares the kingdom of heaven to a hidden treasure in‌ a field.

“The real reason ‍I’m pursuing Christian ministry ‍is to proclaim the name ‍of Christ!” Smith emphasized. “I want ‌Him ⁣to be known, and I want to know Him more. That is the real reason I’m leaving music touring.”

Smith assured his fans that he hopes to see them again soon “on ⁢a new kind of stage.” In addition ⁢to⁤ his music career,⁢ he has also been working on his book, Like a River, which was released on ⁤August 1st.
