The Washington Examiner⁢ reached out to McCarthy’s office and ⁣the office‌ of Gov. Josh Green (D-HI) for comment on the situation.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) also expressed concerns about the federal response ‍to the wildfire, stating that there are “serious questions” that need to be answered. He has ‌launched⁤ an investigation into the matter, following the speaker’s suggestion to investigate Biden⁤ over the ‍wildfire‍ response.
