Los Angeles Man Pleads Guilty to Crime Spree
A Los Angeles man, Namir Greene, has pleaded guilty to a series of crimes that took place in April, including armed robberies and a carjacking. The 23-year-old entered his plea to one federal count of interference with commerce by robbery. He is set to be sentenced on November 29 and could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, during his crime spree, Greene brandished a gun and threatened store employees, forcing them to hand over money from the cash registers. His plea agreement, filed in Los Angeles federal court, details the incidents.

One of the incidents involved Greene robbing a Shell gas station in Marina del Rey on April 4. He waited inside the store until all other customers had left, then placed a brown paper bag on the counter and demanded that the clerk put everything in it. While pointing what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun, it was later revealed to be a BB gun. The frightened clerk emptied the cash register, handing over $700 to Greene, who then fled the scene.
In addition to the gas station robbery, Greene admitted to committing armed robberies at various locations, including a Circle K in Long Beach, an AM/PM gas station in Whittier, the Gojo Ethio Market in Los Angeles, 7-Eleven stores in Pomona and Los Angeles, an Arco in Culver City, and a Mobile Fixx phone repair shop in Culver City. He also confessed to using the BB gun to steal a Honda Accord.
Police eventually located the stolen car in Ontario on April 15 and attempted to stop Greene, leading to a pursuit. During the chase, Greene lost control of the vehicle, colliding with a curb and disabling it. He then fled on foot but was apprehended shortly afterward by law enforcement.
Greene’s identification was made possible through security camera footage, eyewitness testimony, his distinctive tattoos and jewelry, as well as photographs on his Instagram account.
