Join us for this remarkable classical Chinese dance competition, part of a series of international cultural and arts events hosted by NTD. Our mission is to promote traditional culture, which has sadly been eroded by the Chinese Communist Party over the past several decades.
Classical Chinese dance training encompasses three main components: bearing, form, and techniques. This expressive dance form is deeply rooted in 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and is considered one of the most comprehensive dance systems in the world.
NTD’s classical Chinese dance competition aims to foster cultural exchange and bring this ancient Chinese culture to the forefront of global recognition. We strive to promote purely authentic traditional dance that embodies purity, goodness, and beauty.
Experience the highest realm of classical Chinese dance as we showcase the forgotten ancient techniques of “shen dai shou” (the body leads the hands) and “kua dai tui” (the hips lead the legs). These techniques have been reintroduced to the world by the founder and artistic director of Shen Yun Performing Arts, Mr. D.F.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness these lost ancient techniques performed live on stage. Join us for an unforgettable journey into the world of classical Chinese dance.
Watch the finals on this page at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 10.
