All eyes are on Trump’s South Dakota visit for a potential endorsement from Kristi Noem.

Gov. Kristi Noem’s Possible Endorsement of Trump Sparks Media‍ Speculation

Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD)⁤ is ‌at‌ the center of media speculation ‍as‌ rumors circulate about‌ a potential endorsement⁤ of former President Donald Trump. The speculation arises ahead of Trump’s visit ⁢to South Dakota on Friday for a rally with the‍ state Republican‌ Party.

On‌ Friday, Trump and Noem ⁤will be special guests at the ⁣South Dakota Republican⁤ Party’s Monumental Leaders ⁢rally, held at the Monument in ⁤Rapid⁣ City.

Excitement Builds as Trump⁢ Joins the Monumental Leaders Rally

“Our Monumental Leaders‍ rally just got 45 times better as we look⁣ forward to‌ hearing from the original America‍ First leader, President ‌Donald Trump,” state GOP Chairman John Wiik said in ‍a press release announcing the addition. “President Trump accomplished so much for our country during his time in office. As the leading presidential candidate, he can inspire our Republican ⁤Party to even greater heights.”

Trump’s visit to South⁤ Dakota is significant, as⁤ he hasn’t been to the state since⁤ delivering remarks there ahead of Independence Day ⁤in ⁢2020. South ⁣Dakota, known ⁢for its reliably red voting⁣ pattern, is ⁣not a ⁢typical ‍campaign stop for ‌Republican candidates. Additionally, the state’s entire Senate delegation has already endorsed Sen. Tim Scott‌ (R-SC), which might‌ discourage a visit of this nature. However, there may be another ‍reason for Trump’s attendance.

Rumors began swirling on Thursday night about a potential endorsement of‌ Trump by ⁣Noem at the event. While a representative for Noem did not confirm the endorsement plans, they encouraged the Washington Examiner⁢ to tune in and‌ watch ‍the event.

Trump’s campaign declined ⁤to comment on the reports ‌when approached by the Washington Examiner.

Noem has refrained from endorsing any candidate in the 2024 contest but has made it clear that she believes there is no⁢ “path for victory” for anyone other than Trump. Although she had ‍considered a presidential run of her own at one point, she‍ ultimately decided against⁤ it.

Noem and Trump have developed a close relationship,‍ frequently speaking on the phone. Their bond strengthened in 2020 when Trump assisted Noem in bringing back fireworks to Mount Rushmore for⁢ a memorable Fourth of⁢ July celebration.

Sources close to the former president have indicated ‌that selecting a‌ running mate‍ is not currently a top priority for ‍Trump, as he is dealing with indictments⁤ in four different cases. These legal matters coincide with important dates in the 2024 primary campaign. However, they did mention that Noem‍ would be included in a list of potential picks.

When asked about the possibility of being chosen as a ⁤running mate by ⁣Trump, Noem ⁣expressed her willingness⁣ to consider such an offer. “I will tell you that, of course, ⁢I would consider it,” she stated last month. “I think everybody should consider it. Our country is breaking⁢ in front of ‌our very eyes⁤ today, and‌ everybody ⁢should be part of putting it back on its foundation.”
