Biden’s Peculiar Press Conference Goes Global, Concludes with “Time for Bed”

President Biden’s ⁢Colorful Language on Climate‌ Change

During his trip to Vietnam on Sunday, President Joe Biden⁤ brought back one of his most infamous Bidenisms while addressing reporters about ‌climate ⁢change.

Biden referred ⁤to those who don’t ⁤believe in the climate emergency as “lying,⁣ dog-faced ‌pony ⁢soldiers.”

The president was in Hanoi on a⁣ diplomatic visit after attending the Group of 20 summit ⁣in India ‌with‌ world leaders.

He asked the audience‍ at the Marriott Hotel Hanoi, “Did you‌ ever think ⁣you’d be sitting at a G-20 conference⁤ where everyone was preoccupied with the notion of global warming? Not a joke. Did ⁣you ever think that?”

Biden then shared a quote from‍ a John Wayne⁣ movie, saying, “There’s a movie‌ about John Wayne. He’s an Indian ⁣scout. And they’re trying to ⁢get the Apache,⁣ one of⁣ the great tribes of America, back on the reservation.⁤ And the Indian scout looks at John Wayne⁣ and⁢ points to ⁣the Union soldier and says, ‘He’s ⁢a lying, dog-faced pony soldier.'”

The president continued, “Well, there’s a ⁢lot of lying, dog-faced pony soldiers out there⁣ about global warming.‍ But not anymore. All of a sudden, they’re all realizing it’s a problem. And there’s nothing ‌like seeing the ‍light.”

Controversial Remarks

This is not the first time Biden has used the phrase “lying dog-faced pony soldier.” In February 2020, he directed the remark at a female college student in New Hampshire who questioned his ability to win the general election.⁣ He also used the‌ term in 2018 while speaking in North Dakota.

While Biden‌ claimed he ⁤was quoting John Wayne, there⁢ is no⁤ evidence that the actor ever said “lying dog-faced pony‍ soldier” on camera. ⁤The phrase seems to be a mix-up of lines from different movies.

Despite the controversy surrounding his choice of words, Biden⁣ remains committed to his climate ⁤agenda and believes ⁤that more people are starting to recognize the urgency of the issue.

As the president ‍concluded his press conference in ‌Vietnam, he humorously remarked, “But I tell you what, I don’t⁣ know about you, but I’m going to go⁣ to bed.”
