Man⁤ Arrested for Fatal Stabbing on Metro B Red Line Train

LOS ANGELES—In a shocking incident aboard a Metro B Red Line train in downtown Los⁣ Angeles, a 23-year-old passenger was fatally stabbed without any provocation. The suspect, Randy Lamale Nash, 31, has been apprehended and‍ is currently held in ‍jail on⁢ $2 million bail.

The arrest took place on September 9 near the‍ 1000 block of West​ 85th Street ⁤in South Los Angeles, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department. Nash has been booked on suspicion of murder.

The tragic stabbing occurred on September⁣ 7 around 5:20 p.m. According to ‍the police, ⁤the suspect approached the victim,⁣ Jesse Rodriguez, and without any warning or‍ provocation, pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.

After fleeing the scene, the suspect’s face was captured on surveillance video from the station. In an attempt to apprehend ​him, the police released⁢ a photo of Mr. Nash on September 8, hoping for tips from the public. It remains unclear whether these tips directly led to his arrest.
