Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado Kicked Out of “Beetlejuice” Performance
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado recently had an eventful evening at a Denver theater, where she attended a performance of the hit musical “Beetlejuice.” However, her enjoyment was short-lived as she and her male companion were asked to leave due to their disruptive behavior.
The incident was reported by The Denver Post, which detailed how Boebert and her date were causing a disturbance during the show. Despite this, Boebert took to social media to express her enthusiasm for the musical, encouraging others to see it and asking them to share the ending with her.
It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud!
Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends! https://t.co/8JHypcCKsP

A security video compilation shared by Denver Arts & Venues captured the moments leading up to Boebert’s removal from the theater. The footage showed her being spoken to by theater staff and eventually leaving with her companion. After exiting the theater, the video showed the couple holding hands and engaging in playful behavior.
Drew Sexton, the manager of Boebert’s campaign, released a statement acknowledging Boebert’s love for the performing arts and defending her enjoyment of the musical. He praised the cast and visuals of “Beetlejuice” and reminded everyone to refrain from using their phones during the performance.
An incident report posted by the Colorado Sun shed more light on the situation. According to the report, theater staff received multiple complaints about Boebert and her companion vaping, singing, and causing a disturbance. The staff confronted them and warned them about their behavior, but the couple was argumentative and refused to comply. Eventually, they were asked to leave, and although they initially resisted, they left on their own.
Despite the controversy, Boebert’s spokesperson denied the allegation that she was vaping and explained that she was unaware that photography was not allowed. Boebert, known for her conservative views and support for the Second Amendment, narrowly won re-election in the 2022 midterms and will be up for re-election again in 2024.
The incident at the “Beetlejuice” performance has sparked public interest and discussion, highlighting the intersection of politics and entertainment.
