Not all neurons were infected‌ during the study. While lab-made neurons were ⁢exposed to the Wuhan, delta,⁢ and omicron‍ strains, only up to 30 percent of⁢ the neurons were infected, with the omicron variant having the⁢ lowest infection rate.
