Megyn Kelly slams Trump’s response on radical gender theory as ‘weak sauce’.

Megyn Kelly Criticizes Trump’s Answer on Transgenderism

Conservative‌ podcast host and journalist Megyn Kelly was not impressed ⁢with former President Donald Trump’s response to her question on transgenderism during their recent interview. Kelly joined radio host and The Blaze founder Glenn Beck to discuss the interview, expressing her disappointment with Trump’s‌ answer and describing ⁢it as “weak sauce.”

“I really wish he did better on that. I ⁤liked Ron DeSantis’ answer, I’m going to be honest, ⁢which is ‘No, no, no, no. Obviously, no,'” Kelly said. “And it’s not ⁢determined based on who ‌can give birth. It’s determined by God. And it’s pretty⁢ obvious just as soon as you come out of the womb. That’s the way it’s always been. That’s the way it continues to be. Notwithstanding this weird agenda⁤ by some activists in this crazy ⁤trans-agenda-pushing cult.”

During the interview on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Trump hesitated before answering Kelly’s question on whether a man could‌ become a woman.

“In my opinion, you have a man, you have a woman. I think part of it is ⁤birth. Can the man give birth? No, no, although they’ll come up with some answer to that ⁣also someday. I heard just the other day they have a way‍ that now the man can give birth. No,” Trump said. “I’ll continue my stance on that.”

Kelly also asked Trump if ⁣he has “changed” since his previous statements about transgender issues. Trump acknowledged that he has changed his views, explaining that at the time, the topic was not⁤ widely discussed.

Trump ‌then ⁢highlighted his decision ‍to ban trans-identifying individuals from serving in the military, a policy that was later reversed by President Joe Biden. He also expressed his strong opposition to allowing children to undergo hormone‌ treatment and sex-change procedures, referring to it as child “mutilation.”

“I’m so against it,” Trump stated. “First of all, many of them I heard like 62% ‌when they grow up, when they’re older, they’re saying, ‘Who did this to me? Why did you do this to me?'”. He emphasized that parents should be ‌the ones making decisions regarding their children, not school boards.

Kelly questioned whether Trump‍ and his team are attempting to appease a certain group⁤ of transgender voters as they aim to attract more Democratic voters for the‍ 2024 election. She added that avoiding a direct stance on this issue is not a‍ winning strategy for any Republican, considering that 98% of ⁣the party is ⁣united on this matter.

How did‍ Kelly feel about ‌Trump’s response ⁢on transgenderism and why?

W with Trump: ‍”I really wish ‍he did better on that. I ⁢liked Ron DeSantis’ answer, which is ‘No, no, no, no.⁤ Obviously, no.’ And it’s not determined based on⁣ who can ‌give birth. ‍It’s determined ‍by God.”

Kelly’s critique ‌stems from⁤ her belief that gender identity is determined ⁢solely⁤ by biological sex, ⁢citing DeSantis’ response as a preferable and straightforward approach. She argues that one’s ‍gender is obvious ‌at birth and remains consistent throughout life,‍ unaffected by societal or cultural influences.

This controversy arose after Kelly⁣ interviewed Trump for the first time in seven⁢ years. During the interview, she asked the former president ⁤about his views on transgenderism⁢ and specifically questioned whether transgender women ‌should be⁢ able to compete in⁤ women’s‌ sports. Trump’s response was deemed vague and unsatisfactory by⁤ Kelly, leading to her public criticism ‍of his ⁢stance.

It is important to note that this is not⁤ the first time Kelly has expressed her concerns about transgender issues. In 2015, during her tenure at Fox News, she famously clashed with⁣ then-candidate Trump ⁤when she asked him about his past derogatory comments towards⁣ women. Despite this‍ history, Kelly’s disappointment with⁣ Trump’s response this time around highlights her⁤ commitment⁤ to ⁢fair and probing journalism.

While Kelly’s ⁤perspective may align with the conservative viewpoint that gender ⁤is binary and determined⁣ by biological sex, it is crucial to acknowledge the complexity of transgender issues. The transgender ‍community faces numerous ‌challenges, including discrimination, lack of acceptance, ⁤and obstacles to accessing healthcare. Many argue that ‌gender identity ⁤is a deeply personal and individual experience that may not ‍align with one’s assigned sex at‌ birth.

Transgender rights and inclusion have become highly debated topics in recent years, with ongoing discussions about bathroom‍ access, sports participation, and medical⁤ interventions for transgender ‍youth. It is essential to approach these⁢ discussions with empathy, respect,‌ and an understanding of the unique experiences of ⁤transgender individuals.

As the conversation surrounding transgender ‍rights continues to evolve, it is crucial for public figures like Kelly and Trump to engage ⁣in⁣ thoughtful and informed‌ discussions ⁢on the topic. Constructive ‍dialogues that challenge ⁣preconceived notions and promote understanding are crucial ⁤for the development of inclusive and equitable societies.

While Megyn ‍Kelly’s critique of Trump’s ⁢response on transgenderism has sparked controversy, it also serves as a reminder ⁣of the ongoing need for open and respectful conversations ‍about gender identity and transgender rights. It⁣ is ⁣through such dialogues that we can foster greater understanding and acceptance of diverse experiences within our societies.
