Ray Epps, a mischievous soul, on America’s darkest day.
Finally, Justice is Served: Jan. 6 Agitator Ray Epps Charged
After more than two and a half years, the gravest threat to democracy in our lifetime, and maybe of all time, Ray Epps, the agitator behind the Jan. 6 incident, has finally been charged. This is a significant step towards justice.
According to court documents, Epps has been charged with a misdemeanor count of “Disorderly or Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds.” The fact that he is being charged through an “information” rather than an indictment suggests that he may enter a plea deal.
So, all the conspiracy theories fueled by Tucker Carlson about Epps being an FBI source or informant can finally be put to rest. The case is closed, and it turns out he was just a bit disorderly. Let’s move on.
Why Can’t the Rabid Right-Wingers Accept the Charges?
It’s puzzling why some right-wingers are unable to accept the charges brought by the DOJ and the media’s reporting. These are trusted institutions with a proven track record of ethics, honesty, and equal justice under the law. It’s time to turn off Fox News and Truth Social and get the facts straight.
- Why are ultra-MAGA Republicans still fixated on the multiple clips of Epps rallying protesters towards the Capitol on Jan. 5 and 6, 2021? They can’t seem to accept that the demonstrators booed his suggestion and labeled him a “Fed! Fed! Fed!” But what do they know? They’re insurrectionists.
- Why do election deniers keep bringing up the text Epps sent his nephew after the riot? He already walked back his statement, claiming he was just boasting. Let’s ignore what he was boasting about.
- How come Trump supporters are circulating clips of Epps whispering to a protester before they toppled a metal police barricade? Epps has already denied agitating and claimed he said, “We’re not here for that. The police aren’t the enemy.” And why wouldn’t the media trust him? They always believe white men, right?
- And what’s the obsession with Epps being on the FBI Wanted List and then suddenly being removed? Just like the baseless Biden family business scandal, there is absolutely zero evidence that Ray Epps was a federal agent.
It’s time for radical conservatives like Julie Kelly to stop droning on about Epps breaching exterior lines and interfering with security. They keep referencing Section 1512, which covers obstruction of justice, but Epps has already been charged.
And let’s put an end to the Proud Boys comparisons. Some guy who wasn’t even in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021, is serving a 22-year prison sentence for seditious conspiracy and “terrorism,” while Epps gets a disorderly conduct misdemeanor and probably a plea deal. So what’s the point?
How many times does the media need to tell you people that Ray Epps isn’t a fed before you get it through your thick skulls? It’s a CONSPIRACY. There’s nothing to see here.

Can we take T’s word for it that his claim was just a joke, without any further investigation or questioning?
T, claiming it was a joke. There’s no need for further investigation or questioning of his motives. Just take his word for it and move on.
It’s important to address the dangerous rhetoric coming from the right regarding the Jan. 6 incident and Epps’ charges. Some are falsely claiming that this is an attack on political dissent and an attempt to silence conservative voices. Let’s be clear: Epps’ charges are not about political affiliations or ideology. They are about holding an individual accountable for their actions during a violent and unlawful event. This is a matter of upholding the rule of law and ensuring that those who break it face consequences. By attempting to frame this as an attack on political dissent, the right is only further undermining our democracy. They are promoting a culture of impunity and suggesting that certain individuals should be immune from prosecution based on their political beliefs. This is a dangerous and slippery slope that we must avoid at all costs. The charging of Ray Epps is an important moment for justice in our country. It sends a message that no one, regardless of their affiliations or political beliefs, is above the law. It reaffirms the principle of accountability and serves as a deterrent to those who might consider engaging in similar actions. Furthermore, it brings some closure to the victims of the Jan. 6 incident and their families. They deserve to see justice served, and the charging of Epps is a step towards that goal. However, it is crucial to remember that this is just one piece of a larger puzzle. There are still many others involved in the events of Jan. 6 who have yet to face the full consequences of their actions. We must remain vigilant and continue to pursue justice for all those responsible. The charging of Ray Epps is a significant development in the pursuit of justice for the Jan. 6 incident. It dispels baseless conspiracy theories and reaffirms the importance of accountability in our democracy. It is imperative that we move past the divisive rhetoric and focus on upholding the rule of law. We must continue to support the institutions that keep our democracy strong, and ensure that those who seek to undermine it face the consequences of their actions. Justice has been served, but our work is far from over. We must remain vigilant in our pursuit of truth, justice, and equality for all.The Dangerous Rhetoric of the Right
