The Colony Ridge development, located in Liberty County, Texas, near Plum Grove, has grown to over 60 square miles, nearly the size of Washington, D.C. The Daily Wire conducted a helicopter survey of the development, revealing its true extent. Starting from the wealthy Woodlands neighborhood, the flight quickly transitioned to half-built homes, dilapidated trailers, and piles of trash. Many houses proudly display flags of foreign countries, while addresses are marked on spray-painted plywood. Some structures lack running water, and construction progress is stagnant. Stray dogs roam the underdeveloped streets.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick plans to request a special legislative session to address concerns about Colony Ridge, which is suspected to be a hub for Mexican cartels operating in the United States. Patrick stated, “We can’t have entire cities of people who are here illegally with basically no law enforcement, in some cases I’m told no running water, it’s a very dangerous place to be. This is not what America was built on. This massive complex of people here illegally creating their own city north of Houston, it’s just unacceptable.”

Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) also expressed concern about Colony Ridge, stating that he has received additional information and finds it highly problematic.
