Dave McCormick announces Senate bid in Pennsylvania.
Former Hedge Fund Executive Launches Bid for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania
Former hedge fund executive Dave McCormick announced Thursday evening that he is making another run for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. This comes as Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) becomes increasingly vulnerable due to President Joe Biden’s failures in office.
“We cannot lose our country. We cannot lose our culture. We cannot accept the status quo.”
McCormick, who previously finished as the runner-up in the Republican Party primary in 2022, losing to Dr. Mehmet Oz, the candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is determined to secure the Senate seat this time around.
During his campaign launch at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, McCormick emphasized the negative impact of Biden’s presidency on America, highlighting economic, military, and spiritual decline.
Identifying the Challenges
The 58-year-old outlined several pressing issues facing the nation, including the crisis at the southern border, a decline in manufacturing, increased crime rates, decreased wages, and soaring inflation.
“That is why today, I am announcing my candidacy for the United States Senate. The hour is late, but our future is bright. But it’s only bright if we elect leaders who: create an economy that works for people who work; defend America from those who weaken us through bad policies, misplaced virtues, and weakness; stand up to China’s aggression; and give people hope, confidence, and faith that the American dream is alive for all.”

McCormick’s deep roots in Pennsylvania were also highlighted, as he mentioned being a seventh-generation Pennsylvanian with ancestors who immigrated from Ireland in the 1800s. He emphasized his education at Bloomsburg Public High School, his service as a paratrooper in Iraq, and his experience in the federal government and leading a successful Pittsburgh company that created numerous jobs in the state.
Despite personal and professional setbacks, McCormick expressed how he has learned valuable lessons from his failures, shaping him into a resilient and effective leader.
Regarding his opponent, McCormick criticized Sen. Bob Casey for being a rubber stamp for President Biden, always following his lead without question.
“Here’s the problem with rubber stamps. Rubber stamps leave the southern border open. They expose the people of our state to rising crime and the fentanyl crisis.”
McCormick’s bid for the U.S. Senate aims to bring about change, protect American interests, and restore hope and confidence in the American dream.
How does McCormick plan to address the rising inflation and struggling economy in Pennsylvania?
Social, and foreign policy issues. He cited rising inflation, a struggling economy, and weak immigration policies as some of the key issues that need to be addressed and resolved for the betterment of the country.
As a former hedge fund executive, McCormick brings a wealth of experience in finance and economics to his candidacy. He aims to utilize this expertise to promote policies that will foster economic growth, create jobs, and alleviate the burden of inflation on American families.
McCormick also stressed the importance of preserving and promoting American values and culture. He expressed his concerns about the erosion of the American identity and the need to protect it from external influences that seek to undermine it. He emphasized that Pennsylvania, with its rich history and diverse communities, plays a crucial role in upholding these values, and he is committed to preserving them.
Throughout his address, McCormick declared his determination to challenge the status quo and provide a fresh perspective in the Senate. He pointed out that Pennsylvania deserves a senator who will fight for the best interests of the state and its residents, rather than following the party line without question.
The announcement of McCormick’s bid for the Senate seat comes at a time when incumbent Senator Bob Casey is facing increased vulnerability due to President Biden’s failures in office. McCormick aims to capitalize on this opportunity by offering voters a viable alternative to Casey’s policies and positions.
McCormick is no stranger to the political arena, having previously run for the Senate in 2022. Although he fell short in the primary race, losing to Dr. Mehmet Oz, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, McCormick has emerged with renewed vigor and determination to secure the Senate seat this time around.
The road to victory will undoubtedly be challenging, with fierce competition and political polarization. Nevertheless, McCormick’s experience, intellect, and fresh approach make him a formidable candidate. With his focus on economic growth, preservation of American values, and commitment to fighting for Pennsylvania’s best interests, he presents a compelling choice for voters looking for a change in leadership.
As the race for the Senate in Pennsylvania takes shape, McCormick’s entry adds another layer of excitement and competition. His determination to challenge the status quo and make a positive impact on the state and the country distinguishes him as a candidate worthy of consideration. It remains to be seen how the race will unfold, but McCormick’s bid for the U.S. Senate promises an engaging and dynamic campaign.
