Florida Governor⁣ and GOP hopeful Ron DeSantis has issued a bold challenge to the⁢ 45th President Donald Trump – a one-on-one debate.

“You know‌ what, ‍maybe we can say since the former president didn’t⁤ come here, maybe he’d be willing to do one⁢ with you and I,” DeSantis (R-Fla.)⁣ told Fox ‌News’ Sean Hannity‍ after the second GOP⁣ primary ⁢debate.

“You’re ‍now challenging, so ⁢this is going to be Hannity one-on-one debate⁤ central?” Hannity ⁣responded.

“Let’s do ⁤it,” DeSantis responded. “Let’s‌ do ⁣it. Here’s the thing ⁤though, [Trump] owes it to the voters to come and make the case, no one’s entitled to anything. ⁣You know, you can say, ‘oh, there’s⁤ some poll months before’, no. You gotta make the case, you owe it to the voters.”

“So I’m going to show up ‍everywhere,” he added. “I think⁣ that that’s what we were able to do and there were some important issues that were⁢ discussed ⁢tonight.‍ There’s also others that I know ⁣you and I’ve⁤ talked about that weren’t discussed. But at the end of the⁤ day, I think the thing that ‍was clear ⁣for this, there’s a lot of talk, a lot of people have good things to say. I’m the guy⁣ that’s done ⁣it. ⁢In Florida, we ⁢did everything I⁣ promised.”

Additionally, during the debate, the‍ Republican governor said that Trump was “missing in action” and was not there to defend himself on the ‍debt that ⁤he created during his ⁤tenure in the White House.

“He owes it to ⁤you to defend‍ his record, where they⁤ added $7.8 trillion to⁤ the debt that set the stage for ⁢the inflation ⁣that we have,” DeSantis added.

The latest ‌debate proposal with Trump comes after news recently surfaced regarding ⁢ DeSantis debating California Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) in‍ an ‌upcoming Fox News debate with Hannity scheduled for November 30th in Georgia.

How does DeSantis believe Trump⁢ should engage with voters and make⁣ his case for the presidency?

Florida Governor Ron⁣ DeSantis, a Republican and potential candidate for the presidency, has issued a bold challenge to former President Donald Trump – a one-on-one debate. Speaking ⁣to Fox News’ Sean Hannity after⁣ a GOP primary debate, DeSantis proposed⁤ the idea, suggesting that since Trump had not made an appearance at the event, maybe he would be ⁣willing to engage in ⁣a debate ‌with him instead.

DeSantis emphasized ⁣the⁢ importance of Trump making his⁢ case to ‍the voters, stating that ⁢no ⁢one is ⁢entitled to anything and that every candidate owes it to the voters to ‍come forward and present their arguments. He‍ stressed⁢ that Trump should‌ not rely on polls or⁣ assumptions but should ⁣actively engage with voters⁤ and ⁢make his case ⁢directly.

The ⁢governor highlighted his commitment to being present‍ everywhere and ⁣discussing important ⁣issues during his campaign. He asserted that while many people may⁣ have good things to say, he is the⁤ candidate who has actually delivered on‌ his promises, citing his⁤ achievements⁢ in Florida as evidence of his abilities.

DeSantis’ challenge ⁢was shared on Twitter, with the governor tweeting, “Let’s do it. Donald ‍Trump owes ‍it to our voters to come and‍ make the case.” He expressed his belief that Trump should defend his record to the ‍American people.

During⁢ the debate, ⁤DeSantis criticized ‌Trump for being ⁤”missing ⁤in action” and not being present to ⁣defend ⁣himself on the issues, particularly regarding ⁤the‌ debt accumulated during his ‍time ⁣in the White House.⁣ The governor argued that Trump should address the $7.8 trillion added to the national debt and take responsibility for the inflation it has caused.

This recent proposal for a debate between DeSantis and Trump adds to the ongoing speculation ‍and anticipation surrounding the potential⁢ 2024 Republican presidential field. Many are curious‍ about ⁤who will emerge as the ‍frontrunner and how these potential candidates will differentiate themselves from one‌ another.

A one-on-one debate between DeSantis and‌ Trump could provide an opportunity for both candidates to present their ⁢visions for the ⁤future and engage in a substantive discussion ‌on important issues facing⁤ the ‌country. ⁢It‍ would also allow voters to evaluate the ⁢strengths and weaknesses ‍of each candidate ⁤and make ‍an informed decision when it comes to the 2024 ⁢presidential election.

As the 2024 race begins to take shape, debates and public engagements‍ between candidates ⁣will play a crucial role⁤ in shaping the political landscape.⁣ The challenge issued by DeSantis⁣ to Trump‍ demonstrates⁢ his willingness ⁤to step forward, engage ⁢with ⁤voters, and make his case⁢ to the⁤ American‍ people. With the potential for a high-stakes debate, ⁣the stage ⁤is set for an exciting and impactful political contest in the coming months.
