Last week, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s decision to ⁤relax the dress code for the Senate floor sparked outrage among Republicans. Surprisingly, it also drew backlash from Democrats. As a result, the Senate unanimously passed a resolution reinstating the formal dress code, ​according to Fox News.

The resolution, supported by both Republicans and Democrats, mandates that men wear a coat, tie, and slacks. However, it​ does not specify the dress code for women.

Schumer’s reversal on the dress⁢ code issue came after⁣ facing criticism from fellow Democrats like Dick Durbin from Illinois. In a sudden change of heart, Schumer acknowledged⁤ the importance of an official dress code, stating that ⁤it is “the right path forward,” as reported by Fox.
