Trump and Christie exchange blows, Ex-Gov shares Donald Duck pic.
The Feud Between Trump and Christie Takes a Disney Twist
The ongoing feud between former President Donald Trump and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has taken an unexpected turn, resembling a scene from a Walt Disney movie.
The latest clash occurred during the GOP Republican debate when Christie took a shot at Trump for avoiding the debates and his opponents, dubbing him “Donald Duck.”

In response, the 45th president fired back on Truth Social, criticizing Christie’s low approval rating and poor financial and economic results during his time as governor.
Trump didn’t hold back, calling Christie a “loser” and claiming he is detrimental to the Republican Party.
Not one to back down, Christie attempted to retaliate on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He mocked Trump for hiding behind a failed social media site and once again referred to him as “Donald Duck,” even sharing an image of the Disney character with Trump’s signature hairstyle.
Nothing better than a fake tough guy hiding behind a failed third-tier social media site.
On your watch: 52 miles of new wall. $7 trillion in new debt. Obamacare is alive and well. Lost to Joe Biden.
Who’s the loser?

However, Christie’s attempt to gain traction with his nickname was met with online mockery as soon as he uttered it during the debate.

Commentators also criticized Christie’s choice of nickname, with Fox News contributor Charles Payne calling it a “terrible punch line.”
Good wind-up…but terrible punch line: “Donald Duck?”
hard to believe Christie is from Jersey— Charles V Payne (@cvpayne) September 28, 2023
Megyn Kelly, a commentator, deemed the line “lame” on X.
As of now, Trump remains the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, while Christie lags behind in seventh place.

Despite the Disney-esque twist that this feud has taken, it highlights the continued division within the Republican Party and the intense personal animosity between these two prominent figures.
Politicians resorting to name-calling and personal attacks is nothing new, but the use of a fictional character like Donald Duck adds a touch of absurdity to the situation. It almost feels like a scene from a surreal political satire rather than a real-life feud.
However, this type of rhetoric does little to address the critical issues facing the country and only serves to distract from substantive policy discussions. As the race for the GOP presidential nomination heats up, it is important for candidates to focus on their proposals and plans rather than engaging in petty back-and-forth exchanges.
The feud between Trump and Christie may be entertaining to some, but it ultimately detracts from the serious business of governing. The Republican Party needs to find a way to bridge these divisions and unite behind a common vision if they hope to be successful in future elections.
As for the Disney twist in this ongoing feud, it serves as a reminder that politics can sometimes resemble a fictional world where larger-than-life characters battle it out for power and dominance. However, it is essential that we don’t get lost in the spectacle and remember that real issues and real people are at stake.
