Smith & Wesson leaves East Coast after 170 years, sets up new HQ in the South.
I saw a guy wearing a T-shirt the other day with “A Socialist Is Just A Communist Without A Gun” printed in big red letters on the front and back.
The implication is that freedom lovers need access to guns to protect their God-given rights.
The Number of Guns in America
As of 2022, about 45 percent of U.S. households had at least one gun in their possession, according to Statista. However, the number of firearms in America as of 2023 is around 466 million due to record-breaking sales during the pandemic, according to American Gun Facts. That’s more guns than people!
The Left’s Stance on Guns
Liberals don’t like so many people having guns, and leftist politicians are hell-bent on taking them away. If they had their way, gun manufacturers would be crippled by the weight of a legal system weaponized against them. The best way to disarm the citizenry is to nix the gunmakers. Does this sound like the left is interested in defending your freedom?
Smith & Wesson’s Move to Tennessee
The legendary gunmaker Smith & Wesson, which has been located in Springfield, Massachusetts since 1856, took note when lawmakers in the state pushed legislation that would essentially ban the manufacturing of military-style rifles. In response, the company announced it was moving to a red state that was more friendly to the Second Amendment. On Saturday, the company celebrated the grand opening of its Maryville, Tennessee, headquarters.

Tennessee, under Republican leadership, has moved to expand gun rights rather than take them away. Smith & Wesson’s decision to relocate to Tennessee was influenced by the state’s support for the Second Amendment and welcoming regulatory environment. The move is expected to create hundreds of jobs.
Businesses Flocking to Red States
Smith & Wesson is not alone in its decision to move to a red state. According to The Epoch Times, Tesla, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, and Remington are among the hundreds of companies flocking out of liberal states like California, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey to business-friendly places such as Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Tennessee.
Freedom and Business
Freedom is not only good for citizens, but it’s also good for business. In a 2022 survey, 700 CEOs ranked the top states for business as Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, and North Carolina. Blue states like California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Washington were ranked as the worst. The fact that freedom is good for business is nothing new. When leftists try to curb freedom under the pretense of “social justice,” “equity,” or “victimhood” by passing laws to take freedom away, it’s an affront to the Constitution.
People need freedom like they need air. They’ll do what they have to do to get it. People have a right to protect their God-given rights, and businesses have a right to do business where it best suits them. When guns are outlawed, only the communists will have them. When businesses like Smith & Wesson are threatened by government regulations, they must fight back for the freedom to survive.

What is the purpose of the Second Amendment in ensuring environmental support for individuals’ success?
Have the right to operate in an environment that supports their success.
The Importance of the Second Amendment
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution states that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This right was put in place by the founding fathers to ensure that citizens had the means to protect themselves, their families, and their liberty. It serves as a vital safeguard against tyranny and ensures that the government remains accountable to the people it serves.
Those who argue against the Second Amendment often claim that the need for an armed citizenry is outdated, that we live in a modern society where the government can adequately protect us. However, history has shown us time and time again that a disarmed citizenry is a vulnerable one. From Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union, oppressive regimes have risen to power and committed horrific acts against their own people. The Second Amendment serves as a check against such atrocities, reminding us that we must never become complacent in the defense of our freedom.
Conclusion
The T-shirt message, “A Socialist Is Just A Communist Without A Gun,” may be seen as controversial to some, but it highlights an important truth about the role of firearms in preserving freedom. The number of guns in America continues to rise, and businesses are recognizing the importance of relocating to states that support the Second Amendment.
As Americans, we must not allow our rights to be eroded by those who claim to know what is best for us. Our freedom is not negotiable, and we must remain vigilant in its defense. Whether we agree or disagree on the topic of gun control, we must acknowledge the fundamental importance of the Second Amendment in protecting our God-given rights.
It is our duty to stand up for our rights and ensure that future generations are not deprived of the liberties that we hold dear. The right to bear arms is not just about guns; it is about preserving the values and principles that our nation was founded upon. Let us cherish and protect this right, for it is the cornerstone of our freedom.
