Israel Defense Forces Could Have Major Advantage Thanks to Newly Upgraded Equipment
As tensions escalate between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the possibility of a grueling ground war looms. Israel, with its technological edge, is expected to employ advanced weaponry in the urban battlefield of Gaza.
“The only way for Israel to achieve its goal of eliminating Hamas’ military capabilities is house-to-house, block-to-block urban warfare,” wrote Alex Plitsas on the website of the Atlantic Council.
While the Israel Defense Forces possess a formidable array of weaponry, the task of defeating Hamas could be arduous. The size of Gaza, the number of terrorists, the extent of weapons caches, and the presence of civilians could prolong the conflict for several months.
Israel’s offensive comes in response to the brutal terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas, resulting in a significant number of casualties.
Both Hamas and Israel have been preparing for war, with the Israeli army focusing 80 percent of its training on urban conflict.
Hamas has an arsenal of anti-tank guided missiles, suicide drones, and improvised explosive devices. Additionally, they have constructed an extensive tunnel network beneath Gaza.
Israel is expected to deploy the Trophy system, which can intercept and destroy anti-tank missiles before they reach their targets. This system also allows tanks to fire back without exposing themselves to potential drone attacks.
The Ghost Battalion, consisting of special forces, armor, cyberspecialists, artillery, and F-16s, is also anticipated to be deployed by Israel.
According to Ben Barry, a retired British general, both sides can expect surprises as Israel conceals its new capabilities until they are needed.
In previous conflicts, Hamas has demonstrated its ability to engage in close combat with Israeli forces. They are well-prepared, with a vast network of tunnels, landmines, and rehearsed tactics.
The battle is expected to involve Israeli forces gradually advancing through Gaza, block by block, in an effort to cripple Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to turn all Hamas hideouts into ruins.
As the conflict intensifies, the Israel Defense Forces have been equipped with upgraded technology, potentially giving them a significant advantage over Hamas.
A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:
What if you woke up one morning and half of the people you count on had just vanished overnight?
That happened to me recently. I got up, came to work here at The Western Journal, and when I got to my office, literally half of our readers had vanished. They were just gone. We had been nuked by Facebook, and it had happened almost instantly.
But it was even worse. Facebook hit us at the same time 90 percent of advertisers had essentially boycotted us. “Brutal” is a word I’ve used a lot lately.
The fight for the truth is brutal. The fight for America’s soul is brutal. What the government is doing to Jan. 6 detainees is brutal. What surgeons are doing to confused children is brutal.
It’s a fight we must win. But we can’t win without you.
A subscription to The Western Journal will go much farther than you think. It costs less than a cup of Starbucks coffee, and for that small price you get access to ALL of our content — news, commentary, and premium articles — you’ll experience a radically reduced number of ads, and most importantly you will be vitally supporting the fight against leftism.
Can I count on you to subscribe today? We need your help. Benjamin Franklin summed up the situation we’re all facing when he said, “We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.”
We plan to hang in and fight. Please help us. Please subscribe today.
Sincerely,
Josh Manning

What can be done to prevent big tech companies from silencing voices they disagree with?
Se than that. Not only were half of our readers gone, but Facebook had also wiped out all of our articles, videos, and years of hard work. It was as if we had never existed.
Why did this happen? Because Facebook decided that our conservative-leaning content was no longer welcome on their platform. They claimed it was against their community standards, even though we had never violated any rules.
This is just one example of the power that big tech companies like Facebook have over the flow of information. They can silence voices they disagree with, manipulate algorithms to push their own agenda, and even erase entire communities with the click of a button.
We were fortunate enough to have built a loyal audience over the years, and many of our readers found us again on other platforms. But not everyone is so lucky. Many voices are being suppressed, their stories untold, and their perspectives silenced.
That’s why it is so important to support independent journalism and news organizations that prioritize the truth over political agendas. When you rely on these organizations for your news, you are supporting a diverse range of voices and ensuring that the truth can still be heard.
At The Western Journal, we are committed to bringing you the news that matters most, without the influence of big tech companies. We believe in the power of a free press and the importance of an informed public.
So next time you read an article or watch a video from an independent news organization, remember the important role they play in our society. They are the ones holding the powerful accountable, shining a light on the truth, and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard.
Thank you for your continued support.
