The epoch times

Many Americans believe President Biden acted unlawfully or unethically in relation to Hunter Biden’s affairs.

Most Americans Believe President Biden Acted Unethically in Son’s Business Dealings

A recent AP-NORC ⁤poll reveals that a majority of Americans think President Joe Biden acted either illegally‍ or unethically in how he handled his son Hunter ⁤Biden’s international business dealings.

“When it comes to the overseas business dealings of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, do you think Joe Biden has done something illegal, or he has done something unethical but not illegal, or do‌ you think he has not done anything wrong?”

Out of the respondents, 35 percent believe President Biden has done something illegal, while 33 percent think he acted unethically.

Partisan Divide

Unsurprisingly, the poll results also show a partisan divide. The majority of Republicans (65 percent) believe President Biden engaged in illegal activities, while most Democrats (58 percent) do not think he did anything wrong.

President Biden’s Alleged Involvement in Focus

Despite President Biden’s denial⁣ of any involvement in his son’s ‍business affairs, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee has presented over 20 examples of evidence linking the president ⁢to Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

The committee stated, “There‍ is mounting evidence that Joe Biden was involved in his family’s influence peddling schemes, including while he served as Vice President.”

During ⁤a closed-door interview with the House Oversight ‍and Accountability Committee, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, revealed that the president ‍had spoken to‍ his son’s business‌ associates on multiple occasions. ⁤Archer disclosed that Hunter Biden put his father, then Vice President, on speakerphone during business meetings over 20 times, using his father’s influence to sell their brand.

While Republicans view Archer’s testimony as evidence of the president’s lies, claiming he had‌ no involvement, supporters of ‌President Biden argue that the conversations were‌ merely casual and that Hunter Biden only ⁤provided the illusion of access to his father.

House Republicans have initiated an impeachment inquiry into President Biden over his ⁢alleged ties‍ to his son’s business affairs.

Biden Impeachment Inquiry

In mid-September, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ⁣announced an⁢ impeachment‌ inquiry, accusing President Biden of lying about his knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings.

McCarthy stated, “Eyewitnesses have testified that the president joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners, resulting in⁣ cars and millions of dollars⁢ into his son’s and his son’s business partners’ accounts.”

He added, “We know that bank records show ⁣that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to the ⁢Biden family members and associates through various shell companies. The Treasury Department⁣ flagged over 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates as suspicious activity.”

During the first impeachment hearing, witnesses acknowledged evidence suggesting misconduct by the Biden family, but emphasized the need for ‍further evidence to support impeachment.

While an impeachment inquiry is underway, the evidence currently falls ⁤short of the high ‍standard required for‍ impeachment.

In a memorandum released by GOP leaders, it was‍ revealed⁤ that the Biden family and their⁤ associates ‌received over⁣ $24 million from 2014 to 2019, with complex transactions making it difficult to trace the flow of funds.

⁣ Has any evidence been presented to ‌prove illegal actions committed by ⁣President Biden or his son?

Cerns surrounding ⁣his⁤ son’s business ‌dealings are nothing more than ‍political attacks⁤ and do not reflect‍ any wrongdoing on the⁤ president’s part.

International Business Dealings

Hunter Biden’s international business dealings have come under scrutiny, particularly his involvement with companies connected to Ukraine⁤ and China. The AP-NORC poll ⁣found that 48 percent of ⁤Americans ⁢consider his business activities to⁤ be a⁣ legitimate concern, while 18 percent⁣ do not ‍see it as a significant issue.

The concerns surrounding Hunter Biden’s business dealings⁣ in Ukraine arose when it was revealed that he was appointed ⁤to the ‌board of a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, despite having no relevant experience in ‌the field. Critics argue that his position on the board⁣ was due to his father’s influence as Vice ‍President at ⁤the‌ time. However, no evidence has‌ been produced to prove any illegal actions committed by⁤ either President⁣ Biden or his son.

Similarly, ⁣questions have been raised regarding Hunter Biden’s business ties with China. It has ⁣been ‌alleged that he ⁢received lucrative business opportunities as a ⁤result of⁢ his family connections, including meetings with high-ranking Chinese⁢ officials. Once again, while these connections raise ethical concerns, no evidence of illegal activities has been ⁣presented.

The Impact on President Biden’s Presidency

The controversy surrounding Hunter ‍Biden’s‍ business dealings has had an impact on President ⁢Biden’s presidency. It has provided ammunition for his political opponents to⁣ question his integrity and cast doubts on his ability to effectively ‍govern.

However, it is important to note that the AP-NORC⁢ poll also found that a considerable portion of Americans ⁤(30⁣ percent) ‍believe President Biden has ‌not done anything wrong in relation to his son’s business ‍affairs. This reflects a significant percentage of the population⁤ who either ⁣do not find the allegations⁣ credible or do not consider them to be of significant concern.

Furthermore,‍ President Biden has⁣ maintained his innocence and denied any involvement or wrongdoing in his ⁤son’s business dealings. He⁤ has called the ⁣accusations a distraction and a part of political attacks aimed at undermining his administration.

Conclusion

The AP-NORC poll reflects the partisan ‌divide in America ‌when it comes to the allegations against President Biden regarding his⁣ son’s business dealings. ⁤While a majority of⁢ Americans believe that President Biden acted either illegally ‌or‌ unethically, this belief is heavily influenced by political affiliation.

The controversies surrounding Hunter‌ Biden’s business dealings⁣ continue⁣ to cast a shadow over President‍ Biden’s presidency. However, without concrete evidence of illegal actions or direct‌ involvement by ⁢the president, these allegations remain a matter of‌ perception and political ⁣discourse.

As President Biden navigates the challenges of his presidency, it ⁢remains to be seen how the ⁣public’s perception of his handling ⁣of his son’s‍ business affairs will⁤ shape his presidency and the wider political landscape in ‍the coming ‍years.
