The CFPB Director defends this absurdity by claiming that fair access to credit is crucial for building wealth and financial stability. They won’t allow immigration status to be an excuse for discrimination. Well, isn’t that a big neon sign inviting illegal immigrants to come and get money to start businesses in the United States?
The Justice Department also chimes in, warning lenders that denying credit based on immigrant status may violate federal law. But where’s the evidence of such illegalities? It seems like they’re just making threats without any proof.
What this really shows is that the Biden administration is willing to bully banks into compliance with the radical left’s demands. They don’t care about winning in court; they just want to punish anyone who doesn’t toe the line.
