Pro-Palestinian protesters try to storm Israeli consulates following Gaza hospital blast.
Pro-Palestinian Protesters Attempt to Storm Israeli Consulates After Gaza Hospital Explosion
Amidst the chaos following the bombing of a hospital in the Gaza Strip, pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets in Amman, Jordan, and Istanbul, Turkey, in an attempt to storm Israeli consulates. The tension escalated further as protesters also targeted the U.S. embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.
Israel has released footage claiming that the bombing was caused by a misfired Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket. The rocket allegedly landed in a parking lot next to the Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City. However, Hamas has blamed Israel for the blast, labeling it a “crime of genocide” that resulted in the deaths of approximately 500 people.

In Amman, thousands of protesters gathered outside the Israeli consulate, chanting “Allahu Akbar!” as they demanded justice. The scene was intense, with authorities resorting to tear gas to disperse the crowd.
In Istanbul, protesters targeted the Israeli consulate by shooting fireworks at the building, igniting a dangerous situation.

Local police in both Amman and Istanbul had to intervene, using water cannons and tear gas to prevent the protesters from gaining access to the Israeli consulates.
In Beirut, protesters attempted to break through security barriers leading to the U.S. and French embassies, expressing their anger with chants of “death to America” and “death to Israel.” Tear gas and water cannons were once again deployed to disperse the crowd.
As the blame game continues, multiple intelligence experts have analyzed the footage of the hospital blast and concluded that it aligns with Israel’s claim of a misfired terrorist rocket rather than a precision bomb strike by the IDF.
President Joe Biden, during a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, acknowledged the ongoing controversy, stating, “Based on what I’ve seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you. But there’s a lot of people out there who are not sure, so we’ve got a lot — we’ve got to overcome a lot of things.”

President Biden’s statement reflects the ongoing division in the Middle East, with many still blaming Israel for the tragic incident.
