Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Four Pepperdine Students
In a devastating incident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, four young women, believed to be students at Pepperdine’s Seaver College of Liberal Arts, lost their lives. The university made the heartbreaking announcement on October 18.
The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 21600 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Authorities discovered the victims at the scene, along with several severely damaged vehicles. A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, although his identity remains unknown.
The investigation into the tragic collision, which claimed the lives of the four women who were walking in the area, led to the closure of PCH in both directions between Las Flores Canyon and Carbon Canyon roads. The closure lasted through the night and into the morning rush hour. However, the roadway was reopened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the incident, with video footage showing extensive damage, including a vehicle that was overturned.
