Ford determined that the problem was caused by repeated use of DC fast charging and driving at wide-open throttle, and released a software update to resolve the issue.
MotorTrend can only hope that Lucid is working on a similar solution to prevent future incidents like the one they experienced. In the meantime, the test drivers will have to wait for answers and continue their yearlong evaluation of the Lucid Air Grand Touring.
